Leave town on Scalford Road. Pass John Ferneley School then in half a mile take the first left onto Holwell Lane. Proceed along the narrow lane for half a mile, taking the right fork early on. The road bends left and a pull in is visible on the right. The camp site gate is immediately on the left. If you reach the cattle grid you've gone too far!

Turn left off the A606 Nottingham to Melton Mowbray road at the top of Broughton Hill, signposted Long Clawson. Take the second turn on the right to Holwell village and proceed through the village (narrow roads). Cross two cattle grids and the camp site is the first gate on the right 75 yards beyond the second cattle grid
